Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band, who were gorgeous in the summer evening air at Sunset Junction, hang around town for another show, tonight’s at the Echoplex, rather curiously billed with Swedish rockers Dungen. … Fresh off opening Green Day’s big show Tuesday at the Forum, Franz Ferdinand (some of whom apparently adjourned that show and caught the Dead Weather at the Wiltern) headline the Palladium. … Up for a trip to O.C.? Devendra Banhart plays the House of Blues Anaheim; Deerhunter rocks the Detroit Bar; and on the local tip, KUCI Nights presents the Broken Remotes, Francisco the Man and Mississippi Man at the Yost Theatre in Santa Ana. … Great garage-y fare on the Eastside – Crocodiles tee it up at Spaceland, and the Dirtbombs headline the Echo.
