Dangerbird Records labelmates Bad Veins, along with Lovelikefire, are also on the bill. … Nine Inch Nails (supported by Mew and Queen Kwong) play the Palladium in the first of four L.A. shows that will put an exclamation point on their career. … Heartless Bastards [download below] have had a busy summer, supporting the likes of Jenny Lewis, the Decemberists and the Avett Brothers on tour. The Austin trio visits the Troubadour, supported by equally busy locals Local Natives, who just completed their Spaceland residency. … Haven’t heard from Massachusetts veterans New Radiant Storm King in a while (their eighth album came out last year); they play the Echo with Funeral Party. … Peanut Butter Wolf does the second of his “999 LA Area Code Tour” – nine nights in nine SoCal area codes with 1990s videos.
