You never know what you’re going to get at one of the Monday residencies, although it often involves pleasant surprises. That was the case Monday night at the Buzz Bands LA-hosted installment of Leslie & the Badgers’ stint at the Echo. There was the winsome Americana of Olin and the Moon, who impressed with new songs; vocal acrobatics and a big, horn-infused sound from the Ruby Friedman Orchestra; lilting twang from the headliner; and a heartfelt although glitchy closing set from Correatown. Oh, and there was pie on back patio as a nightcap. Sweet.
