Has it really been 25 years since “West End Girls?” Pet Shop Boys return to L.A.,” their 1oth album, “Yes”(which came out in April), having certified that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are still trying to push the envelope a bit, even if their electro feels a bit safe in an era of Dangerous Kids With Laptops. Their dance party is tonight at the Greek [above, the video for “Love, Etc.”]. … Speaking of taking me back, yes, that’s Living Colour tonight at the Key Club. … Swoonworthy Norwegian pop guy Sondre Lerche has more misses than hits on his new album “Heratbeat Radio,” but he’ll probably revisit some of his “Faces Down” and “Phantom Punch” material at the Troubadour. … Titus Andronicas and the So So Glos, supported by locals Radars to the Sky, play the Echo. … The U.K.’s One eskimO, whose debut album came out this week on Shangri-La, headline Spaceland. …” The Riverboat Gamblers punk it up at the Knitting Factory. … The second night of the OohLaLA Festival at the Fonda features Nouvelle Vague headlining (Emilie Simon has canceled and was replaced by Soko). … It’s the Get Up Kids and Youth Group at the Avalon. … And a nice bill at the Silverlake Lounge includes London to Tokyo and Vanaprasta. … Also: The David Crowder Band at the Roxy; Noisettes do an in-store at Amoeba at 7:30; Andy Clockwise at the Mint; Better Than Ezra at the House of Blues; and Royals Bangs and Lady Sinatra at the Viper Room.
