Le Roux Snow Patrol plays the Wiltern in advance of the Nov. 10 release of their best of compilation “Up to Now” and the Nov. 3 release of their (wait for it) DJ mix CD, “Late Night Tales”. There are several new recordings between these two releases, which means there may just be a few surprises tonight. ”¦ Until the Pavement reunion kicks off next year, satiate your addiction with guitarist Scott Kannberg’s solo project Spiral Stairs (his moniker on the early Pavement records), playing with Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman/guitarist Bob Mould tonight at the Troubadour. FYI Mould has an early set at 8pm before the Spiral Stairs’ set at 9pm. ”¦ Fashionable synth-pop duo La Roux (pictured) take over El Rey for a sold-out show. Local band Tearist open. ”¦ NYC electronic music genre blenders Brazilian Girls are at the Avalon. ”¦ The Decemberists perform “Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized,” a collaboration between the band and four filmmakers, in it’s entirety at Royce Hall, as well as a more traditional second set with old and new songs. ”¦ Light FM [album] continue their Spaceland residency, supported tonight by His Orchestra (who claim this is the last show that they’re playing this year) and Meeting Places. ”¦ Jonneine Zapata [album, tour diary], supported by Angie Mattson (who has also been playing bass in her band), continues her residency at the Silverlake Lounge. ”¦ Correatown are supported by Charlie Wadhams at the Echo…. Noah and the Whale are screening their film,”  “The First Days of Spring” with a special Q&A to follow, at Space 15 Twenty on Cahuenga. … And last, but certainly not least, the Dylapalooza Benefit Concert with Tonic, Emily Wells, Sonos, Leah Andreone, and the Lonely Forest is going on tonight at The Echoplex.
