Haven’t been able to set aside “A Brief History of Love,” the debut album from U.K. electro-shoegazers the Big Pink, since it arrived in my mailbox and got me all excited. The collaboration of producer Milo Cordell and guitarist Robbie Furze, the Big Pink expands to a full band for live shows, and they finally hit L.A. tonight to play the El Rey Theatre. Crystal Antlers and IO Echo open. … Radars to the Sky, abetted by Le Switch, Marvelous Toy and the Happy Casualties, celebrate the release of its new single at the Echo. …. Good lineup for Club NME at Spaceland, with the Hidden Cameras, Gentleman Rag and Generationals. … And radio rockers OneRepublic, with a new album “Waking Up” out this week, headline the Troubadour. … Also: The Swell Season’s sold-out show at the Wiltern; Exene Cervenka’s free in-store at Amoeba (7 p.m.); Butch Walker at the Hotel Cafe; Royksopp at Club Nokia; Kid Theodore and Anglos at the Silverlake Lounge; Jenny O at the Bootleg Theater; and the Royal Crown Revue starting a three-week Wednesday residency at the Mint.
