Danielle Haim plays in Casablancas’ band too. … Vancouver garage rockers Japandroids visit the Echo, with Surfer Blood opening. … There will be plenty of harmonies at the El Rey Theatre, where Rooney,  Tally Hall and Crash Kings team up. … And Vanaprasta rocks the Roxy. … Also: Kate Earl at the Hotel Cafe; Tiesto at the Shrine; Dokken at the House of Blues; Switchfoot at the House of Blues Anaheim; and the Damselles at Casey’s Bar downtown.

Saturday: Peaches, supported by Amanda Blank and Steed Lord, headlines the Wiltern. … At the Echoplex, ex-Los Abandoned frontwoman Pilar Diaz performs, with Wait. Think. Fast opening. … Dum Dum Girls [feature], the new project from Grand Ole Party’s Kristen Gundred, bring their fuzzy pop to Spaceland. … At Club Nokia, it’s the Black Crowes (with Truth & Salvage Co. opening). … The English Beat resurfaces at the Troubadour. … The Aggrolites take it to the beach at Saint Rocke in Hermosa. … Idyllists play the Hotel Cafe. … Also: Carney at the El Rey; Hatebreed, Trivium and others at the Palladium; Tiesto at the Shrine; and the Voyeurs at Origami Records.

Sunday: Straight No Chaser at the Wiltern; Neil Hamburger at Spaceland; and Dokken at the House of Blues Anaheim.
