[Thanks to everyone who helped make Tuesday night’s Buzz Bands LA show at the Echo a smash hit. It felt like a whole weekend crammed into a couple of hours. Now, on with our week:]
The Rescues, the L.A. quartet whose undeniable songs have been all over some of your favorite TV shows recently, headline the Troubadour, with young songstress Lucy Schwartz opening. … Paris-based pop phenom Dan Black headlines Spaceland. … Siddhartha Khosla [pictured], whose sophomore album as Goldspot, “And the Elephant Is Dancing,” came out in late ’09, hits town for a show at the Hotel Cafe, where Raul Malo performs with Kelly Dalton earlier in the evening. … More pop, this of the power variety: Rob Laufer, whose fourth album “Excruciating Bliss” in on the way in April, plays the Silverlake Lounge. … And Oliver Future rocks the Echo, supported by Queen Kwong. … Also: Mariah Carey’s second night at the Gibson; Socadia’s EP release show at Bordello; Lantvrn, along with Texas’ True Widow, at 3 Clubs; Visqueen’s in-store at Amoeba (7 p.m.); and Nicole Simone at the Bootleg Theater.
