Tonight: Swedish classic rockers the Soundtrack of Our Lives [pictured], who just released a digital EP that quickly followed last year’s double-disc album, hit town to play the El Rey Theater, with local rockers Nico Vega opening. … Young Austin sextet the Strange Boys play the Echo. … And it’s the second anniversary party for Americana-oriented blog When You Awake at the Bootleg Theater – Eric D. Johnson of the Fruit Bats and Leslie and the Badgers perform. … Also: We Were Promised Jetpacks and Bear Hands at the sold-out Troubadour; Ozomatli at the House of Blues Anaheim; Pepi Ginsberg and Pepper Rabbit at the Viper Room; Moe at Club Nokia; Truth & Salvage Co. at the Hotel Cafe; Memory Tapes at Spaceland; HoneyHoney at the Damselles’ residency at Casey’s Bar downtown; and Very Be Careful at the Mint.

Saturday: Brooklyn experimentalists Dirty Projectors, critical darlings for last year’s album “Bitte Orca,” will be joined by Alarm Will Sound at the Walt Disney Concert Hall for a program that includes their album “The Getty Address” in full as well as material from their 2009 release. The L.A. Phil also will perform a program of Ligeti, Wagner and Ravel. … Singer-songwriter AM [pictured], whose album “Future Sons & Daughters” was just re-released on Filter (he had self-released it last year) and who is gearing up for a March tour supporting Air, plays the Troubadour along with songstress Zee Avi … Four Tet headlines the Echoplex behind its well-reviewed recent release “There Is Love in You.” … Money Mark and Emily Wells team up at the Getty (it’s sold out). … And Scout Niblett, with Dirt Dress supporting, plays Spaceland. … Also: Astra Heights, Lemon Sun and the Romany Rye at the Bootleg Theater; Evan Dando at the Hotel Cafe; Abby Travis and Mike Watt & His Missingmen at downtown’s Redwood Bar; Casxio at Bardot; Jason Mraz at the Long Beach Terrace Theatre; Scottish disco dude Calvin Harris’ DJ set at Avalon; Bipolar Bear at the Smell; the Help Haiti Live benefit at the Wiltern featuring LeAnn Rimes and Billy Ray Cyrus; and Manhattan Murder Mystery at Pehrspace.
