[Birthday greetings today to Evan Dando. … Here’s what’s on tap tonight:]

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard something new from HoneyHoney, the musical pairing of Suzanne Santo and Ben Jaffe. “First Rodeo” came out in 2008, and “new material is en route,” they disclose on their blog. Might HoneyHoney play some tonight when they are joined by Jim Bianco at the Hotel Cafe? … Athens, Ga., rockers Twin Tigers [hope you didn’t miss this] hit town to play the Rumble – that’s the cool monthly event at 3 Clubs – with San Diego’s the Beaters and L.A. duo Rumspringa. …. Also: K-OS, U-N-I and Audible Mainframe at the Roxy; Mike Doughty at the Troubadour; Maxim Ludwig at the Viper Room; Leslie and the Lys at the Echoplex; Shrinebuilder at the Echo; Phantogram at Bordello; Tommie Sunshine at Spaceland; Hypnogaja at the Silverlake Lounge; the Appleseed Cast at the Glass House; the Living Suns and Harlem at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa; and a big Haiti benefit at the Bootleg featuring members of the Gift Horse collective, including Angela McCluskey of the Wild Colonials, Antony Langdon of Spacehog and Rain Phoenix of Paper Cranes.
