Florida quartet Surfer Blood, coming off a strong week of shows at SXSW and still riding the buzz they earned with their 2009 album “Astro Coast,” has top billing in Saturday’s Waved Out Music Fest, being presented by Aquarium Drunkard at the Echo and Echoplex. Depending on your tastes, you can go festival-crazy this weekend – the emo, hardcore and pop-rock kids will be flocking to Angels Stadium for the two-day Bamboozle California (which features AFI and a reunited Something Corporate), and on Sunday the Echoplex hosts the MusiCares charity event the Pow Fest (with the Standells, the Zeros and Peter Case) and the Echo is the site of the Slumberland Records 20-Year Anniversary (with Henry’s Dress and Boyracer, among others). And, and there’s the free KSCR Fest at Founders Park on the USC campus featuring Thee Oh Sees, the Entrance Band, the Growlers, Princeton and Chasing Kings.
