I spent last night on a bench in a Chicago airport, victimized by missed plane connections and the stupidity of booking the last flight to L.A. on Easter Sunday night. I arrived home this morning bleary-eyed and grouchy, only to receive your new video for “Our Younger Noise” in my e-mail. Director Christopher J. Ewing and crew could have made a darker film for this song, a rather wistful M83-meets-Postal Service number, but they didn’t. He made a wonderment-filled homage to young love that isn’t preening or mawkish. A day-brightener, to be sure, and right when I needed it. Thanks.
