[A slight change in our programming. Beginning today, my daily show picks will appear on the LA Weekly’s West Coast Sound blog. I will also highlight a show here, and link to the more-comprehensive West Coast Sound post. Thanks for following.]
The glammy electro of Tennessee-bred trio Actress, the brainchild of brothers Aaron and Josh Ficchi and bassist John Random, fairly oozes with the sweat of disco fever. Last last year, the Hollywood-based band released its “In Motion” EP [download four of the five tracks here], and now they’ve have moved on to work on more music. Tonight, Actress headlines Spaceland, with support from Oh Darling and Dirt Bird.
Also on stages near you tonight: Greg Laswell, the Ruby Friedman Orchestra, Coheed and Cambria and the Moog, among others. See Live in L.A. on West Coast Sound.
