Video: Dawes, ‘When My Time Comes’

Add twangy L.A. quartet Dawes to the list of young L.A. bands with big summertime tours. The foursome, riding growing support for its Jonathan Wilson-produced debut “North Hills” (which came out last year on ATO), spent the winter on smaller club tours, including one with Rilo Kiley’s Jason Boesel. On May 26, Dawes begins a run of dates with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, and will also have dates with Band of Horses, She & Him and Josh Ritter, as well as gigs at Bonnaroo, the Newport Folk Festival and Lollapalooza. Sounds like a lot of work – although maybe not as hard as the characters in their new video for “When My Time Comes,” directed by Adam and Aaron Nee.
