Top 3 shows I would try to hit tonight if I weren’t hitting everybody up to hit the Buzz Bands LA night at Spaceland featuring Abandoned Pools, Vanaprasta and Chasing Kings:

‣ The Woodsist Festival goes off at the Echo and Echoplex, and you could get your money’s worth seeing only a slice of the lineup: Kurt Vile, Real Estate, Woods and Art Museums. Lots of people apparently think so – advance tickets are sold out, though there might be some at the door. Download: Kurt Vile, “Invisibility: Non-Exisitent.”
‣ Portland quartet the Prids have an excellent new album titled “Chronosynclastic,” and they visit to play the Silverlake Lounge with Velvet Blue Music labelmates Kissing Cousins.
Thurston Moore performs a 12-string acoustic set at Synchronicity Space with Brooklyn’s Spectre Folk.

Your tastes may vary: Because, after all, you might be sipping wine with Sting and the Royal Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. My daily roundup will be up soon on LA Weekly’s West Coast Sound.
