[Happy birthday to OK Go’s Timothy Nordwind. As for tonight …]

coldwarkids-natesoloMy top 5 reasons to extend your weekend by a day:

We Barbarians wind up what has been an exhilarating Spaceland residency (Kissing Cousins are among the support bands tonight), and you might even get a special cameo. Last week, Nathan Willett of the Cold War Kids [pictured] played a short acoustic set and debuted a couple of the Long Beach quartet’s new songs.
‣ At the Fonda Theatre, Concrete Blonde winds up a 16-date tour marking the 20th anniversary of its album “Bloodletting,” which has held up awfully well over the years. (There’s a deluxe edition with five bonus tracks just out, too.)
Line and Circle plays the final installment of its Silverlake Lounge residency, with the Minor Canon and Wet & Reckless supporting.
‣ Australia’s Tame Impala [see previous] crashes Rainbow Arabia’s residency at the Echo – set time 10 p.m. The Aussies play two shows Tuesday night at the Silverlake Lounge.
‣ And, with Elefant now in the rear-view mirror, Diego Garcia resurfaces with some solo music at the Viper Room.

Not to mention: Frank Fairfield at the Redwood Bar; Anjulie and a secret guest at the RSVP-only It’s a School Night at Bardot; and One Eskimo at Largo.
