Lewis Pesacov just keeps campaigning for Buzz Bands’ man of the year. The guy whose guitar keeps the engines running for Fool’s Gold [pictured] and Foreign Born is racking up quite a resumé. Outside of his day job writing music for TV commercials and his band-juggling, Pesacov has produced the forthcoming Best Coast album and played on movie soundtracks, as well as contributed string arrangements for the likes of Line & Circle. Now he is remixing a track by former tourmates Local Natives, “Wide Eyes,” with help from Oakland rapper Aristotle Pop a Bottle. Says Pesacov in the press release: “After hearing ‘Wide Eyes’ nightly, I couldn’t help but envision it as a southern rap joint, with its half-time drums and deep-azz bass-line. At the time I was also mildly obsessed with Jason Derülo’s track ”˜Whatcha Say’ in which they sample an Imogen Heap song for the hook in the chorus.”
