Ears Wide Open: Rumspringa

After releasing one EP each of the past two years, Rumspringa has blown up – in size, at least. Singer-guitarist Joey Stevens, who partnered with Itaru de la Vega in the first incarnation of the band, has ways with the original drummer and annexed three new members, singer-guitarist Cecilia Della Peruti, bassist Richardo Robles and drummer Andrew Parker. Their woozy, psych-tinged blues-rock has been on the radars of L.A. fans since their Echo residency two years ago, and now they’re readying their debut album, “Sway,” for fall release on Cantora Records. The quartet is doing the West Coast dates on the Rumble tour [the L.A. date is co-presented by Buzz Bands LA].
