Going somewhere this weekend? Some picks …

The Dollyrots and their spitfire singer-bassist Kelly Ogden keep the pop-punk flame alive on their new album, “A Little Messed Up.” They celebrate the the release, their third full-length, with a show tonight at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ British quartet Wild Beasts bring their tribal indie rock to the El Rey Theatre tonight.
‣ West of the 405, it’s punk-rock foursome the Briggs at Brixton in Redondo Beach.
‣ Busdriver, Sister Crayon and Nocando help christen the new Santa Monica club the Central with a show on Saturday.
HEARDfest, originally scheduled for L.A. State historic park downtown, has been moved and scaled back (explanation on the website) but still has a good lineup Saturday night at the Junction Block, including Random Patterns, Superhumanoids and Bobb Bruno.
‣ The free matinee series Saturday at the Lab in Costa Mesa (starting at noon) has an excellent foursome of bands: Mississippi Man, Red Cortez, We Barbarians and the Union Line.
Levon Helm, Jenny Lewis and Steve Earle team up Sunday at the Greek Theatre.
