There’s something sexy about Wisconsin garage rockers Jaill. “That’s How We Burn,” their debut for Sub Pop, falls somewhere between ’80s pop-punk and stoner dance-rock territory, blending dishy hooks, back-up harmonies and a whole lot of references to weed. Lead track “The Stroller” plays like the perfect soundtrack to start Saturday night, in a fast car full of anticipation. Core members Vinnie Kircher and Austin Dutmer have been playing together around Milwaukee since 2002 and are touring the rest of a country in a big way these days, supporting both the Hold Steady and Jenny and Johnny (with a local warehouse gig thrown in).

The opening band’s name is spelled Woah Hunx at the 6th Street Warehouse. The Woah is spelled in the aforementioned manner and not whoa. Thanks!
thanks for the heads-up. fixed.
