There’s nothing very black-metal or goth about Dark Dark Dark, a chamber-folk band from Minneapolis. Using clarinet, strings, accordion and banjo the band ventures into spooky territory from time to time, but it’s the stuff of dreams more than death, and love more than monsters. Songwriters Nona Marie Invie (piano) and Marshall Lacount (banjo) create long and haunted hallways, dusty soundscapes with a chorus of ghosts chanting behind Invie’s yearning vocals. The band is touring this fall to support the release of their second album “Wild Go” (out Oct. 5 on Supply & Demand) but will be in L.A.  this week to perform the live score of “Flood Tide,” a film directed by bassist Todd Chandler and scored by Dark Dark Dark. The movie documents the sailing of hand-made boat sculptures down the Hudson River and features several band members in the cast. Hearing the lead single from their new album, these are ghosts you won’t mind having in the room with you.
