How was your weekend? Thanks to everybody who tweeted about how cool the Abbot Kinney Festival was – suffice to say it was substantially cooler than the 109-degree temperatures Saturday and Sunday at the Epicenter Festival in Fontana. Or, “Funtana,” as Bad Religion’s Jay Bentley called it. I covered Epicenter for SPIN.com, witnessing a strong show by Eminem, a comeback set by Bush, a turn in the cozy VIP tent from DMX [pictured] and some good old-school punk courtesy of Bad Religion and Against Me!
