Top 4 shows for your autumn evening:
‣ Has it really been four years since the Futureheads played L.A.? That’s what it says here. The U.K. quartet’s fourth album “The Chaos” (recommended) is happily post-post-punk, and they hit the Troubadour supported by local up-and-comers Young the Giant. Above, the Futureheads have some fun with “Heartbeat Song.”
‣ Broken Bells return for a sold-out show at the Wiltern.
‣ CocoRosie and We Are the World party at the Music Box.
‣ And Nightmare & the Cat take on Spaceland.
Your tastes may vary: Slash at the House of the Blues; Kenneth Pattengale and J. Irwin Daily at the Hotel Cafe; Mexicans With Guns, Salva, Daddy Kev and Gaslamp Killer at the Airliner; Peter Wolf at Largo; El Guincho at La Cita; Nathan Picard at the Viper Room; Tera Melos at the Bootleg Theater; Shane Harper at the Roxy; Auditorium and Masks at the Silverlake Lounge; and Boyz Skule & the Precious Medals at 3 Clubs.
