Power pop lives. The sixth album from Guster, “Easy Wonderful,” cracked the Billboard charts at No. 22 this week, giving us reason to believe the Boston band’s cult following is turning into a congregation. The quartet went to great lengths to promote their new release, including soliciting videos for each of “Easy Wonderful’s” 12 tracks. The animated piece for “This Is How It Feels to Have a Broken Heart” comes courtesy of a duo familiar to folks on the SoCal music scene, the Fantastic Heat Brothers – the visual arts incarnation of twins Luke and Joe McGarry, who are the brothers behind the indie-rock band Pop Noir. Bounce along.
