Fitz & the Tantrums, with Daryl Hall? Yep. Fitz and a couple of his bandmates – Noelle Scaggs and James King – visited Hall for an episode of his Web TV series “Live From Daryl’s House.” Not only are the performances cool, but they make applesauce. Go here to watch – excellent stuff, especially “Sara Smile.”
‣ A week before its release, “The Fool” – the debut album from L.A. indie darlings Warpaint – is streaming on Hype Machine.
Cold War Kids debuted the first song, “Royal Blue,” from their forthcoming third album “Mine Is Yours” on RollingStone.com. This album is going to surprise you, in a good way. (Also streamable on YouTube.)
‣ The live webcast of Jonsi’s concert from the Wiltern Theatre on Sunday night was fantastic. [UPDATE] It can be viewed here through Thursday. NPR plays to re-post it here on Tuesday, as soon as they get it uploaded.
