‣ Fitz & the Tantrums, with Daryl Hall? Yep. Fitz and a couple of his bandmates – Noelle Scaggs and James King – visited Hall for an episode of his Web TV series “Live From Daryl’s House.” Not only are the performances cool, but they make applesauce. Go here to watch – excellent stuff, especially “Sara Smile.”
‣ A week before its release, “The Fool” – the debut album from L.A. indie darlings Warpaint – is streaming on Hype Machine.
‣ Cold War Kids debuted the first song, “Royal Blue,” from their forthcoming third album “Mine Is Yours” on RollingStone.com. This album is going to surprise you, in a good way. (Also streamable on YouTube.)
‣ The live webcast of Jonsi’s concert from the Wiltern Theatre on Sunday night was fantastic. [UPDATE] It can be viewed here through Thursday. NPR plays to re-post it here on Tuesday, as soon as they get it uploaded.
