Delorean’s home base of Barcelona is just a short hop across the Balearic Sea from Ibiza, so it is little wonder that this indie quartet has soaked up the sounds of the Mediterranean island’s famed club scene. The uplifting piano breaks on latest full-length “Subiza” could be lifted straight from an early ’90s house record, but there is more to these Basque natives than sun-drenched rave revivalism. Earning indie cred remixing the XX and Franz Ferdinand, Delorean cemented a solid reputation among hipster tastemakers in the U.S through successful live appearances at SXSW and, more recently, at the FYF Fest in L.A.

Awesome to finally c a fantastic Spanish band make it on the mainstream in the US. These guys are the best of the best, which is saying lots in a country with amazing musical acts like Sr. Chinarro, Tulsa, Half-Foot Outside, Los Punsetes and Macaco to name a very few. Cheers L.A. Are you ready for a treat?
