Dear Rumspringa: I keep waiting for something to click between you and me, but it just hasn’t happened. I feel like it should, so many of my friends are in your corner and keep telling me that if I like psych-rock (and I do) and blues-rock (and I do), I should be keen on your brand of psych-blues. Your shows have been fun affairs the six or eight times I’ve seen you the past year or so; people bob their heads and shake their bodies. But lightning still hasn’t struck me. I do know one thing, however: This animated video for “Triptych” (off your album “Sway”) is cool. Tip of the cap to Winona Regan. Meanwhile, I’ll keep trying.
