‣ Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala [who made a good impression on a June visit to L.A.] play to a sold-out Echoplex.
‣ Rain Phoenix of Papercranes, whose second album “Let’s Make Babies in the Woods” is due Jan. 24 on Manimal Vinyl, will join Emily Kokal, Cameron McGill, Leslie Stevens and Joe Sumner at a benefit for the Art of Elysium at Largo. That’s the video for Papercranes’ “Synapses,” above.
‣ And Marvelous Toy kicks off a residency at LaBrie’s in Glendale, performing some of the material the band is prepping for its next album. The Hectors and the Mid Cities open.
