[Birthday greetings today go out to Stephin Merritt …]
Calling it just another manic Monday:
‣ New Jersey punk rockers Screaming Females (that’s their video for “Wild,” above) bring their riot grrrl-inspired shredding to the Echoplex, supported by La Sera and Lovely Bad Things.
‣ Expect to hear some new songs when Great Northern plays the RSVP-only It’s a School Night at Bardot, where the Pierces also perform.
‣ The Fling and the Belle Brigade carry on their co-residency at the Satellite.
‣ Folky harmonizers Chief join Grouplove for their resiency at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ Tic Tic Boom celebrates the release of its new “Reasons & Rhymes” EP at the Viper Room, with Odd Modern.
‣ And Sing the Body Electric and Wet & Reckless join in at Cannoneers of the New Command’s residency at the Echo.
