It’s been five years since Greg Dulli released a Twilight Singers album, but the early returns on “Dynamite Steps” (due Feb. 15 on Sub Pop) hint that it was worth the wait. “On the Corner” reveals Dulli at his brooding best, simmering and then exploding on what might be the most radio-ready Twilight Singers song he’s made. As for the rest of the album, there are cameos from  the likes of Mark Lanegan, Carina Round, Petra Haden, Leta Lucy and Ani DiFranco, as well as Verve guitarist Nick McCabe. Sounds like Dulli is bent on eclipsing “Powder Burns.”
