Stream: The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, ‘Belong’

If there were any concerns about the Pains of Being Pure At Heart’s forthcoming sophomore effort, the Brooklyn indie-pop band has dismissed worries with new singles, such as “Belong” and “Heart In Your Heartbreak,” which tote the same appeal of their debut. For fans of the Field Mice, the Cure and the Smiths, the new title track still offers current twee-pop vibes but also provides crunchier guitar lines which have the four-piece slightly touching grunge. Mixed by two of Britain’s premier producers, Flood and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, PJ Harvey), the album is slated for release on March 29 via Slumberland Records.
