Who said newspapers are dead? Radiohead, which today announced its new record “King of Limbs” would be available digitally “as early as the end of this week,” will offer their eighth full-length as “the world’s first (perhaps) newspaper album,” according to its website.

The deluxe version “King of Limbs,” produced by Nigel Godrich, will include two slabs of vinyl, a CD, a digital download and “many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradable plastic to hold it all together,” Thom Yorke and crew said on their website. The regular digital download of the album is going for $9; the band’s website promises it by Saturday. The album’s general release is set for March 28.
