The best things in life, at least tonight, are free:
‣ Lucinda Williams, still going strong at 58, has a new album out March 1 titled “Blessed” – which is how folks might feel if they catch her at the RSVP-only It’s a School Night at Bardot.
‣ Red Cortez’s residency at the Satellite continues, and supporting are Everest, the Union Line and College Kids.
‣ Leslie Stevens joins in as support for the Jenny O residency at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ Female vocalists rule at the Robotanists’ residency at the Silverlake Lounge, where Oh Darling and Kissing Cousins open.
‣ And John Carpenter plays a support slot at the Slang Chickens residency at the Echo.
