It’s an embarrassment of riches on the show scene tonight:
‣ Oh, the memories: Lou Barlow has assembled a version of Sebadoh (with Jason Lowenstein and Fiery Furnances Bob D’Amico) for the “Bakesale/Harmacy Remembering Time Tour,” marking the re-releases of the 1994 and 1996 albums, respectively. They hit the Troubadour tonight, with Quasi opening.
‣ Shadow Shadow Shade’s exhilarating residency at the Satellite comes to an end – the L.A. septet tonight is supported by / the Silver Lake Chorus and Twilight Sleep, as well as the Black, a quartet featuring David Longoria (ex-Trail of Dead) and Jason Chronis and Matt Simon (both ex-Voxtrot). (Silversun Pickups’ Brian Aubert will DJ.)
‣ With last week’s release of “12 Desperate Straight Lines,” Telekinesis claimed early dibs on a spot on our albums-of-the-year list. Michael Benjamin Lerner and band visit the Echo, supported by the Love Language and One Trick Pony. The Love Language released a lovely album last year, “Libraries,” and is playing Coachella this year. That’s their video for “Heart to Tell,” above.
‣ Indie-pop five-piece the Lonely Wild [see the “Poor Fools” premiere] celebrate the release of their first EP, “Dead End,” at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ Best Coast and Wavves play to a sold-out Music Box.
‣ And there’s a great lineup at the cozy Lot 1 Cafe, headed by the Sweet Hurt and Willoughby.
