Video: Robotanists, ‘On/Off The Ledge’

L.A. quartet Robotanists recently received national attention for offering their reinterpretation of  “King of Limbs” to the world only 24 hours after Radiohead’s official release. It followed by only a few weeks the release of their own new album, “Plans In Progress,” which saw Robotanists inching away from their intense down-tempo vibe, with the lead single “On/Off The Ledge” reflecting the broader sound palette. Their new video for the track also has them tapping into different dimensions. The Tom Kenney-directed clip seemingly paints the picture of a typical, sunny, rooftop party, but within 30 seconds, surreal face deconstruction and axe throwing come into play. It all makes for one fun party to watch but it makes one think twice about actually attending a shindig hosted by Robotanists.
