I’ll Remember This Until: The next time I see another young rapper into Chuck Taylors, money, women and weed. Yes, the themes in 23-year-old’s rhymes are nothing groundbreaking when it comes to hip-hop, but there was no doubt the main stage was where Wiz Khalifa belonged on this blistering afternoon. Whether Khalifa is a head rush or a massive migraine, the pride of Pittsburgh had the charisma to rock a massive sea of girls and boys shouting along with every word. “Rolling Papers” is an obvious title for his latest collection of speedy spoken word, but that’s what works for rap’s new it-boy. Offering respect for his inspirations (the Doggs, Snoop and Nate), hydration advice and appreciation for his fans, Khalifa catered to the mainstream and even when the word “bitch” or “ho” came flying out of his mouth, he was still downright charming.
