Video: White Denim, ‘Drug’

For three albums – two if you exclude a European release, four if you include last fall’s DIY “Last Day of Summer” (still available free here) – the work of Austin quartet White Denim has been unapologetically all over the spectrum. They’re great for short attention spans live shows that never bore and those who appreciate deliciously obtuse subject matter; bad for economy of words, if you string together descriptives like “psych-garage-punk-prog” in front of “rock.” “Drug,” the first song to emerge off their forthcoming album “D,” sounds like something Darker My Love would tackle, which is a nice thing.
