New things for a new week:

The Low Anthem, the Rhode Islanders whose acclaimed new album”Smart Flesh” was recorded in a pasta sauce factory, visit the Autry Center’s Heritage Courtyard for a show with Ivan & Alyosha and Daniel Leftkowitz. That’s the Low Anthem’s video for “Boeing 737” above, featuring tightrope walker Jade Kindar-Martin.
KT Tunstall headlines the El Rey Theatre behind her new EP, “The Scarlet Tunip.” Charlie Mars supports, as does Meiko, who will be previewing some material off her forthcoming second album.
‣ Theatrical folkies He’s My Brother She’s My Sister try to follow up a wild first week with the second installment of their Satellite residency – this one inviting fans to dress for a costume ball. The theme is “Escape to the End of Innocence” (“open to interpretation,” says the band), and on this night Harper Simon is the special guest, Mecca Andrews’ dance troupe performs  and Sister Rogers, Sweaters and the Pleasure Circus are the support bands.
The Bixby Knolls kick off their residency at the Echo, with Bowery Beasts and Stevenson Ranch Davidians supporting.
Taylor Locke & the Roughs continue their Silverlake Lounge residency, and Mike Viola also brings his estimable tunes to the party.
White Arrows sail into the second week of their Bootleg Theater residency with Papa, J. Irvin Dally and Steffaloo supporting.
