Tonight’s recommendations, and more:

The Henry Clay People, last spotted working up an afternoon sweat at Coachella, return to the cozy confines of the Satellite for the first of two nights celebrating the release of their new EP “This Is a Desert.” The great supporting cast includes Shadow Shadow Shade, Apex Manor and the Dig.
The Kills, behind their new album “Blood Pressures,” play the Music Box, with Cold Cave opening.
‣ Billy Corgan-endorsed Urge Overkill is back with its first album in 15 years, “Rock & Roll Submarine” [previewed here, and you can check out another track here.] The band that once opened for Nirvana on the “Nevermind” tour headlines the Troubadour, with local rockers Astronaut Academy and Roll the Tanks opening.
‣ And Prince kicks off another weekend of shows at the Forum.
