It’s been a long, painful wait for Bon Iver‘s follow-up to the calm yet majestic “For Emma, Forever Ago,” but the band fronted by Justin Vernon is finally releasing new music. Vernon has made favorable impressions on the L.A. scene with two of the most memorable appearances taking place at Hollywood Forever during sunrise and most recently, out in the desert when he was one two surprise guests during Kanye West’s Coachella set. So, we’re containing our excitement for the band’s self-titled LP, which is scheduled for a June 21 release via Jagjaguwar. The first taste we get from Bon Iver’s sophomore album exhibits no indications of a slump. “Calgary” begins with the band’s signature melodic simplicity but soon builds into a potent chorus showcasing those distinctive falsetto vocals.

Pusha T was a surprise guest also. He came out for his verse on Runaway….
You’re absolutely right, Matt. It was such a brief moment that I had forgotten about it.
