[Some Internet demons are confounding us at Buzz Bands HQ this morning, so this post is a bit late-arriving. Please remind me to update my 2006 technology.]
Lots and lots to consume tonight. Be voracious, my friends:
‣ Friendly Fires, their new album “Pala” just out on XL Recordings, play to a sold-out Music Box. They were electric in February at the Roxy (and they’re on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” at 11 a.m.) Wise Blood opens.
‣ John Prine plays the Orpheum, with Loudon Wainwright III opening.
‣ Tiger Army frontman Nick 13’s new solo album is an excursion into rootsy Americana and country, and it’s getting great reviews. He plays the first of two sold-out night at the Troubadour. [Check out “Carry My Body Down” here.]
‣ L.A.’s sibling-propelled folk rockers Belle Brigade return hone for a date at the Satellite. Little Hurricane and John Gold support.
‣ Denver’s funky electro/dubstep trio Signal Path, veterans of seven albums with plans to release four EPs this year, visit the Mint. [Get their latest EP for free here.]
‣ And down in O.C., Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, who announced last year they were calling it quits, play one final show at the House of Blues Anaheim.

I am so excited to see Friendly Fires! I love almost all the tracks from their new album, I wish they would play lots of songs from it. Skeleton Boy is probably my most favorite track amongst all.
