‣ Swervedriver (pictured) is back, Adam Franklin bringing his band to North America for four shows. The finale is tonight at the Echoplex (7 p.m.), with the Black Watch opening.
‣ Ya La Bamba frontwoman Luz Elena – who delivered a rapturous set last week at the Buzz Bands LA SecondTuesday songwriter night at Lot 1 Cafe – plays the Hotel Cafe.
‣ Great Sunday evening at the Troubadour, with Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Maria Taylor and Doc Dailey.
‣ And Ted Russell Kamp celebrates the release of his new album “Get Back to the Land” with a performance at Grand Ole Echo at the Echo. David Serby also plays the country-oriented night.
