Local stuff first, then the other stuff:
‣ Nice surprise in store at the Californian’s residency at the Satellite — She Wants Revenge will play the opening slot, setting the table for the One AM Radio and the residents. And leading the late dance party will be San Francisco’s the Hundred Days – whose video for “Sex U” seems almost too much for a Monday night. Then again, we like Monday nights.
‣ Sweet collection of songwriters at the Bootleg, where resident Henry Wolfe will be joined by the Sweet Hurt, Jenny O and Ferraby Lionheart.
‣ Duniven continues its residency at the Silverlake Lounge, with Kissing Cousins and Gold Paint (formerly the Faraway Places) supporting.
‣ Residents Dante Vs Zombies rock the Echo, with Cigarette Bums and Halloween Swim Team.
‣ It’s an eclectic night at Bardot for the RSVP-only It’s a School Night: Ximena Sariñana, NewVillager and Lesands play.
‣ And local dance-punk Funeral Party will do a 5 p.m. show in the parking lot behind Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre; the lot will be converted to a skate park to mark Tuesday’s Go Skateboarding Day.
