What better way to mark the official beginning of summer than to share Crystal Antlers’ new video for “Summer Solstice?” The Long Beach noiseniks are bouncing back after the meltdown of their first label home, Tough and Go Records, and releasing their new album “Two-Way Mirror” via their own Recreation Ltd. imprint. The album, mixed by Jack Endino, finds the quintet as inscrutable as ever, shrouding their too-scarce moments of beauty in psychedelic and rhythmic haze. In “Summer Solstice” and the title track (premiered by Pitchfork earlier this month), there are two songs that want to come out and play, if only they weren’t stuck in the sandbox.
