[As this steamy week comes to an end, it’s time to raise a glass and wish Beck a happy birthday …]

Your fine Friday fare:

Autolux and Superhumanoids do a special show at the Skirball Center as part of a program titled “Into the Night: Music and Magic” in conjunction with the exhibitions “Houdini: Art and Magic” and “Masters of Illusion: Jewish Magicians of the Golden Age.” Expect strolling magicians, random trickery and, of course, Autoloux drummer Carla Azar’s usual sleight of hand.
‣ Steely Dan plays “Aja” (and more) at the Greek Theatre.
Foster the People do a second sold-out night at the El Rey Theatre.
Washed Out, its new album “Within or Without” coming next week on Sub Pop, headlines the Echoplex, supported by Chain Gang of 1974, who just released their debut album “Waywrd fire.”
