Video: Cloud Control, ‘Gold Canary’

1

With the way MTV and VH1 have gone down the drain in regards to purpose and integrity, it’s comforting that bands still care about the music videos they make. However, the fact that music videos have been replaced with smut reality shows hasn’t seemed to bother Australian indie folk pop group Cloud Control. Although their bassist Jeremy Kelshaw had been the only one with prior skydiving experience, Alister Wright, Heidi Lenffer and Ulrich Lenffer all gathered courage to jump from a plane together and film it for a clip to accompany their jangly pop tune, “Gold Canary.” If that event wasn’t memories in the making for the Aria-nominated and Australian Music Prize-winning band’s careers, at least it sounds like their editor did a good job since vocalist and keyboardist Lenffer admitted to Spinner UK that her body rejected the experience after 30 seconds and “threw up mid-air, very discreetly.”
