‣ Three of Manimal Vinyl’s most promising artists – Sister Crayon, Jenny O and Papercranes – will be joined by Blackbird Blackbird and more at the Exchange (618 S. Spring). Details. That’s Sister Crayon’s video for “(in) Reverse,” above.
‣ John Hiatt headlines the Troubadour behind his new album “Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns.”
‣ Jesse Malin & the St. Marks Social will perform their album “The Fine Art of Self Destruction” at the Key Club (don’t be surprised if Malin springs a special guest on you), and the SideOneDummy Records showcase also features the imprint’s co-founder, Joe Sib, and Audra Mae.
‣ The Sister Ruby Band [see our post on “Straight Into Your Heart”] plays the early set at the Silverlake Lounge, in front of the Brothers King and Horde and the Harem.
