L.A. Buzz Bands show, tonight at 12 on KCSN

0

Join me at the stroke of midnight for the L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM), streaming on KCSN.org. Included in my wee-hours foray into local music will be new tunes from Princeton, Pepper Rabbit, Fool’s Gold and the Sister Ruby Band, along with material from Andy Clockwise, Soft Pipes and Eastern Conference Champions. And I’ll finish the show with a song from the Buzz Bands Hall of Fame. Sure, the hour will be late, but it’s summer, so crack the windows and tune in. After the jump, tonight’s playlist:
Aug. 8
Princeton, “Clamoring for Your Heart”
Fool’s Gold, “Wild Window”
Pepper Rabbit, “Murder Room”
Fonda, “Better Days”
Soft Pipes, “Golden Grace”
Andy Clockwise, “The Socialite” (ftr. Lissie)
A House for Lions, “Come On”
Eastern Conference Champions, “Summertime”
Stone Darling, “I Stopped Missing You Today’
The Sister Ruby Band, “Straight Into Your Heart”
The Nerves, “Hanging on the Telephone’
Strange Markings, “Ghost Song’
Races, “Big Broom”
The One AM Radio, “Sunlight”
* The Lassie Foundation, “I Can Be Her Man”

* I’m going to start closing the show each week with a local track that, to me, is an all-timer – a Buzz Bands LA “Hall of Fame,” if you will. And so it is with this Lassie Foundation song that first surfaced in 1996.
