‣ Ari Shine brings his new power-pop to the Sunday Night Jones series at the Satellite tonight. That’s his video for “Ship in a Bottle” above. [Make sure to grab “It’s A Go.”] Also, Daniel Ahearn and the Jones play in addition to Americana-folk collective Eagle Rock Gospel Singers who round out the bill for one eclectic evening.
‣ It’s a loud and heavy night at the Troubadour. Rockers Torche headline with Big Business and Thrones playing as support.
‣ The Preservation from Austin, Texas bring their psychedelic pop rock to Redwood Bar. L.A. songwriter Judson McKinney plays beforehand.
‣ Katy Perry plays another sold out show at Nokia Theater. Swedish electro pop star Robyn continues to help her close out the weekend by owning it as opener.
