Viva Brother, the British quartet formerly known as Brother (and then Brother UK), swings back through L.A. or a headlining date at the Troubadour behind its debut “Famous First Words. ” Family of the Year supports, and get there early for young West L.A. four-piece Post War Quartet.
Latebirds, an Americana rock quintet from Helsinki, Finland, visit the Bootleg Theater behind their U.S. debut “Last of the Good Ol’ Days,” which features guest turns from Nels Cline, Benmont Tench and Minnie Driver and the production work of Jim Scott (Wilco, Dixie Chicks, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Wheelhouse and Miracle Parade open. (Latebirds also do a 6 p.m. in-store Friday at Amoeba.)
The Soft Pack tees it up at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa.

Iggy and the Stooges’ show at the Palladium has been postponed after Iggy broke his left foot during a show in Romania on Aug. 27. It’s been rescheduled for Dec. 1.
